We can deliver training at your venue or arrange a suitable training location for your group.
Alongside our regulated courses, we can create bespoke sessions around your organisation’s specific requirements. Examples include:
Care Homes & Social Care – falls awareness, post-fall assessment, head injuries, pain recognition in people living with advanced dementia, recognising deterioration, sepsis awareness and common medical emergencies.
Sports Clubs & Activity Providers – head injury and concussion awareness, fracture management, sprains and strains, bleeding, wound care, collapse and emergency response during sporting activities.
Schools & Education – head injuries, asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, bleeding, burns, minor injuries and responding to common medical emergencies involving children and young people.

What does clinician-led training mean?
Our training is shaped by current frontline emergency-care knowledge. Learners are taught what to do and how to apply it confidently in realistic situations.
Where are courses held?
Open courses are normally held at suitable venues in or around Swadlincote. Private group courses can be delivered at a client’s premises if the location is suitable for learning and assessment.

Do I need previous medical experience?
Most first aid courses do not require previous medical experience. Advanced courses may have minimum entry requirements, which will be stated before booking.
Is there a minimum age?
Minimum age requirements vary by course and qualification. The applicable minimum age will be clearly stated on the course booking form and made known before booking.
How long do the courses take?
- Emergency First Aid at Work: usually one day
- First Aid at Work: usually three days
- First Aid at Work requalification: usually two days
- Paediatric First Aid: usually two days
- FREC 3: usually five classroom-based training days with assessments
- FREC 4: usually five classroom-based training days, alongside completion of a portfolio and workbooks
How are learners assessed?
Depending on the qualification, assessment may include practical demonstrations, scenarios, multiple-choice papers, tutor questioning, ongoing observation or an invigilated examination.
Is the training practical?
Yes. Practical skills and realistic scenarios are central to our courses. We aim to build confidence, communication and safe decision-making rather than relying only on presentations.
Will I receive a certificate?
Learners who successfully complete every required element receive the appropriate certificate. Format and delivery times depend on the qualification and awarding organisation.
How long are qualifications valid?
Many workplace and pre-hospital qualifications are valid for three years. Some practical skills should be refreshed more regularly, and annual refresher training may be recommended.
Do you provide requalification courses?
Yes, where an eligible learner’s qualification is approaching expiry. Please contact us before it expires so we can confirm the correct route.
What is FREC 3?
FREC 3 is the Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care. It is a practical pre-hospital qualification often used within event medical work, security, high-risk workplaces and other emergency-care environments.
What can I do after FREC 3?
FREC 3 may support applications for suitable event medical and related roles and provides a possible route towards FREC 4. It does not guarantee work, and employers may set additional requirements.
Can I work for Streamline after completing a course?
Completing a course does not guarantee work. We welcome expressions of interest from appropriately qualified people, subject to recruitment, competency, insurance, safeguarding and governance checks.
Do you train schools and nurseries?
Yes. We provide suitable paediatric and first aid training for teachers, teaching assistants, nursery staff, midday supervisors and other education staff.
Do you train care-home staff?
Yes. Training may cover first aid, basic life support, falls, head injuries, sepsis awareness and common medical emergencies. Regulated content remains aligned with the required syllabus.
Can training reflect our workplace risks?
Yes. Suitable scenarios can reflect construction, machinery, care, sporting or medical risks that are relevant to your organisation.
Can reasonable adjustments be made?
We aim to make training accessible wherever reasonably possible. Tell us about additional needs before the course so suitable arrangements can be considered within awarding-organisation rules.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for kneeling, CPR and practical scenarios. Bring identification, something to write with and anything listed in your joining instructions.
Is lunch provided?
Catering varies by course and venue. The course advert or joining instructions will confirm whether lunch or refreshments are included.
How do I book?

Can advertised dates change?
