Looking for first aiders? Our team includes First Responders, Emergency Care Assistants, Technicians, Associate Ambulance Practitioners and Paramedics. We match that mix of skills to your event, its audience and its risks.
Each role brings a different depth of training, assessment and clinical decision-making. A higher clinical grade can provide broader care within its scope, while the whole team works together to recognise problems early, support patients and seek further help when needed.
Before event day, we agree who is attending, what equipment they need and how they will communicate. Briefings help the team understand the site, access routes and medical arrangements, so everyone knows their role.
First Responders / Emergency Care Assistants
FREC 3 / FREC 4 Or Equivalent
Initial patient assessment, first response to illness or injury, and essential support such as CPR, AED use and bleeding control within the individual’s training.
What The Progression AddsFREC 4 builds on FREC 3 with further assessment and pre-hospital care skills. Emergency Care Assistants also support colleagues with patient care. The role and permitted skills depend on training, competence and our agreed scope.
Technicians / Associate Ambulance Practitioners
Broader Pre-Hospital Assessment & Care
Ambulance-trained practitioners bring more developed patient assessment and management skills, supporting a wider range of illness and injury within their scope.
What This Level AddsGreater depth in assessing a patient’s condition, monitoring changes and delivering the interventions authorised for their role, with escalation to a paramedic or other service when needed.
Paramedics
HCPC-Registered Clinicians
Registered healthcare professionals who assess patients, make clinical decisions and provide care across a broad range of urgent and emergency presentations.
What This Level AddsAutonomous clinical assessment and decision-making, with access to a wider range of treatments and medicines where authorised and appropriate to their competence and the agreed service.

Before you book

Do I need first aiders or a more clinical team?
That depends on the event. We consider attendance, activities, audience, venue, duration and access to emergency services. We then recommend the staff grades and resources, from FREC-qualified responders to technicians and paramedics where needed.
Can you supply a single medic?
Sometimes, but it is not appropriate for every event. We assess lone working, site layout, activities and whether an incident could be managed safely without immediate support.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Swadlincote and support events across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands. Wider UK cover is subject to staffing, travel and event requirements.
Is an ambulance or hospital transport included?
An ambulance is not automatically included. Any dedicated ambulance or transport capability must be assessed and specifically agreed, potentially with an appropriate partner provider. Hospital transport should not be assumed; NHS emergency ambulance assistance may be required.
What happens if someone needs urgent care?
Our team assesses the patient, provides care within its scope and requests further emergency assistance when needed. Agreed arrangements cover communication and access; the organiser may need to help with crowd management and emergency routes.
Can you help with medical plans and treatment areas?
Yes. We can discuss a medical plan and a suitable treatment area. Depending on the arrangements, the venue or organiser may need to provide space, privacy, lighting, power and access. Wider event risk consultancy is a separate service.
How much does event medical cover cost?
Your quote depends on the staffing, clinical grades, hours, location, equipment and planning required. We explain the proposed provision so you can understand what is included.
What remains my responsibility as organiser?
You retain responsibility for overall event management and safety, accurate event information, site controls and agreed emergency access. We assess our medical operations and agree how our team fits into your event plan.
